World Newborn Care Week 2020

World Newborn Care week was celebrated on 17th Nov 2020 in the meeting hall of HWC, Puruna Bandhagoda in the chairmanship of Dr Asutosh Jena.

All the staffs of PHC(N), all HW(M)s, HW(F)s, Pregnant & Lactating Women of the area were present in the programme.

The following topics were discussed for the awareness among the pregnant and the lactating women.

1. Why Newborn is a special category to be focused?
2. Problems and disorders of the newborn.
3. How to deal with the problems without medical intervention.
4. When to approach the hospital and healthcare support.
5. What are the preparedness for an emergency healthcare problem of newborns.

The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by the Sector Supervisor, Kanti Prakash Jena.
