NCD Camp in P B Goda

A special camp to detect the non-communicable diseases held on 4th Jan 2024 at Puruna Bandhagoda PHC(N) with the support of a team from DHH, Keonjhar to detect the NCD cases and treat them.

A team comprises of Dr Niranjan Behera (the treating Physician), the Epidemiologist, an Lab Technician and the public health personnels from DHH, Keonjhar have arrived at Puruna Bandhagoda PHC(N) at about 9:30 am and started the pre-scheduled camp organised by the CHC, Sainkul and PHC(N) P B Goda.

Registration & Screening:

All the staffs of PHC(N) and Nandabar Sub-centre were involved in diffrent activities like registration, screening, vital monitoring, record keeping and crowd management. Dr Dinakrushna Jagannath was among the clinicians and Dr Ranjib K Rout was there for overall supervision of the program.

The registration was done by Sarathilata Senapati (ILR in-charge of PHC) & Satya Narayan Baral (Attendant). Bharati Rout (Nursing Officer), Sasmita Sahu (CHO, Nandabar) & Sagarika Hota (HW(F), Nandabar) was there for initial screening of all the patients. To ensure all the patients to avail the service, Kanti Prakash Jena was there with two ASHAs of the concerned villages.

Investigation:

All the suspected cases were invesigated in the camp by Prabhukrupa Nayak (LT, PBGoda), Sasmita Dora (HW(F), Nandabar) and the LT from DHH, KJR.

The overall program was arranged and managed by Dr Asutosh Jena, Debasish Bhatta (BPM, Sainkul), Mr Durga Prasanna & Mr Bimal from CHC, Sainkul. There were more than 150 patients screened and treated in the camp.

Among other line departments, the representatives from RWSS department collected the water and soil sample from the affected area for investigation of the cause and source of increasing renal disorders.
